Professional Consulting - Montreal

Our Client in the Banking and Finance Industry is seeking a Accounting Clerk for their Downtown Montreal office. This is a 6 months contract to start, possible extension OR Permanency
 
 
Daily Responsibilities:
• Conducting account reconciliations or/and performing the review of reconciliations
• Perform internal control testing
• Support integration and testing future state processes for upcoming  GL application migration
• Support in assessing automation of reconciliation using Enterprise tools
• Develop or enhance controls or processes in order to mitigate operational or financial risk
• Manage or lead specific projects or deliverables that align to the organizational objectives

Must Have Skills:
• Associate’s Degree in accounting
• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in accounting with a strong focus on accounts payable
• Knowledge of Canadian taxes for each province
• Has experience or has worked with ERP applications (e.g. Oracle/SAP/Coupa)
• Has experience in business operations
• Strong understanding of the tax applications within Canada and some Tax applications (HST, QST, etc).
• US tax – Non-resident etc. (only a basic understanding of these terms is required)
• Experience in a production environment
• Excellent Communication Skills in both English and French (Oral & Written)
• Strong Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
