Accounting & Finance - Vancouver

Our Client in the Banking and Finance Industry is seeking a Accounting Clerk  for their Vancouver office. This is a 4 months contract to start, possible extension OR Permanency
 
 
GROUP/PROJECT INFO:
They are responsible for risk management for a large portfolio within the bank.

CULTURE/EVP (Employee Value proposition):
The work itself is autonomous and the environment is very heads down.

Daily Responsibilities:
• Complete bank confirmations. They will be looking at accounts at any given point of time and reporting back the amount of money in that account
• Completing standard bank forms
• Working with Excel – spreadsheet tracking/filtering
• May need to speak with accountants and businesses themselves – comfortable on the phone

TOP SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
• 0-2 years of experience work experience
• Strong communication (Both verbal and written )
• They must be able to Data entry – accuracy
• Computer literate

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• General understanding of accounting and finance principles Prior experience in reconciliation etc.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
• University degree in Finance, economic, accounting is preferable.
