Accounting & Finance - Vancouver

Our Client in the Telco Industry is seeking a Accounts Receivable Administrator Support for their Vancouver office. This is a 2 months contract to start, possible extension OR Permanency
 
Our Telco Client is a premier multimedia company with leading assets in television, radio, out-of-home advertising, and digital media. This role provides an opportunity to work in an engaging, dynamic and fast paced environment. The successful candidate will play an integral part of the Finance Team in Vancouver, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager.

Responsibilities:
• Implement the company’s credit policies and procedures within the daily operations of the local market (administer and approve customer credit applications, maintain credit files, prepare and submit collection accounts, etc)
• Prepare bank deposits
• Code and prepare weekly cash receipt entries
• Process TV credit card payments
• Print/Mail/Email monthly TV invoices and statements
• Process local TV digital invoicing and maintain tracking log
• Process AR adjustments & manual/proforma invoice requests, as necessary
• Act as primary liaison with clients for TV invoicing, collections and general billing support
• Prepare monthly and quarterly AR account reconciliations
• Maintain aging reports, highlighting 60-90 day accounts for review
• Liaise with sales department on aging status of client accounts and billing related matters
• Act as backup relief for the local Radio Accounts Receivable Coordinator
• Special projects on an ad hoc basis

Critical Qualifications:
• 3+ years of relevant Accounts Receivable experience
• Must be an independent self-starter and a team player
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of issues and see through to resolution
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to articulate views convincingly
• Confident in dealing with multiple stakeholders both within and outside the organization
• Ability to work well under pressure in a highly transactional environment
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail
• Proficient with standard Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
• Broadcast Media experience would be an asset
• Working knowledge of SAP, IBMS & Wide-Orbit software
• Post secondary education in a certificate, diploma or degree program
