Our client in Telco Industry is seeking Admin. Assistant for Scarborough location. This is a 2 weeks contract position.
 
Description:
 
Responsibilities:
• Perform general administrative duties to support the President CTV News and the CTV News Management Team. The duties include: coordinate meetings, coordinate travel arrangements, answer phones, schedule appointments, process mail, reconcile monthly expenses, calendar management
• Contact with CTV News’ Senior Management Team on behalf of President CTV News as directed
• Contact with Senior Leadership Team EA’s as directed
• Assist President with PowerPoint presentations for various meetings as requested
• Prepare submissions for prominent industry Awards, CSA, RTDNA, CAJ, Edward Murrow Awards when directed by President
• Ensure CRTC/CBSC loggers of complaints are kept on disks and filed with the appropriate departments, coordinate the delivery of appropriate responses to CRTC/CBSC
• Coordinate CTV News internship program, liaison with Universities and Journalism Colleges in recruiting top students
• Coordinate Annual CTV National News Offsite meetings, corporate and special events as assigned
• As required, administrative duties in special projects assigned by the Senior Leadership ( i.e. Olympics, Federal/Provincial Elections)
• Resource for newsroom staff on new/internal programs, i.e. Career Zone, Ariba
• Others duties as assigned
 
Required Skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient organization, planning, scheduling and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, make decisions and prioritize work
• Personal commitment to ownership and accountability for the success of tasks assigned with a high level of attention to detail and effective follow-up on activity
• Process oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and within a team
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast paced environment
• Display strong initiative and anticipate the needs of team
• Excellent computer skills with commonly used business software, including MS Office Tools – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
• Understand key components of human resources administration and how to use the information / data of the management systems and tools required to do the job
