Office Admin & Legal - Halifax

MaxSys Staffing and Consulting is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for our client in the Lower Sackville area. This is a full-time permanent role starting as soon as possible.  This new position will have dual responsibilities with taking and entering orders and assisting with basic accounts payable and receivable entries.

Reporting to: Accounting Manager

Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
Input customer orders that come in through email & phone.
Point of contact for all incoming customers
Basic reception duties
Oversee basic customer service
Dealing with wholesale and retail customers
Preparing international and domestic mail-out shipments
Taking payments
Working with various departments on orders
Keeping notice of inventory levels and communicating with department when stock is low
Other duties as required
Basic A/R invoicing and payment entries
Basic A/P invoice entries
Filing all AP and AR files accordingly
Other duties as required
 
Requirements:
 
At least 3 years’ experience in an office environment
University degree or admin diploma or experience equivalent Read, write and converse in English. French would be considered an asset but not necessary
Math skills
Ability to multitask in a face paced environment
Problem solver
Attention to detail
