Our Client in the Pensions and Funds Industry is seeking a Application Support Analyst for their Downtown Toronto office. This is a Permanent roles.
 
 
Scope
The position is to provide efficient application operational support for production and non-production environments managed by client’s corporate and enterprise IT. The analyst will also assist project work by supporting application implementation, integration, QA and performance tuning. Support analyst will adhere to IT policy and standard, and participate activities to improve application support
This role requires after hour rotating on-call support

Responsibilities
• Bring and build knowledge for various COTS and customized applications across different OS platforms
• Install, configure, and administer applications and document technical details
• Provide after hour rotating on-call support as part of the team
• Ensure data and environmental backup properly scheduled, taken and restorable in production and other required environments
• Manage application change activities by adhering to change management process
• Participate service improvement activities e.g. root cause analysis and problem management
• Practice proactive capacity planning, performance tuning and application monitoring
• Automate deployment, monitoring and remediation through scripting and other automation tools
• Follow application patching and upgrading standard and document process accurately
• Participate DR/BCP planning and execution
• Support other IT teams through project plan review, technical consultation, post implementation verification, etc
• Provide effective application audit data for IT and enterprise audit initiative
• Analyze and develop innovative solutions to address complex issues
• Manage application support relation with vendor and 3rd parties when required
• Develop and maintain specialized knowledge of current and emerging technologies

Qualifications
• Experience with OpenText content management suite, Kofax, Oracle UCM, Microsoft TFS
• Proven expertise on CMS e.g. Kentico, WordPress or Drupal
• Fluent with various enterprise directory services e.g. ActiveDirectory, ADFS, LDAP and SSO implementation across various application platforms
• Skilled with unix shell, PowerShell and other automation tools
• Working experience with Oracle UCM, other database and middleware products e.g. Oracle database R12, OAM/OID, SQL*PLUS, PL/SQL, MSSQL, MySQL, Apache
• Cloud (i.e. Azure, Salesforce, ServiceNow) configuration, implementation and integration experiences
• Knowledgeable with SharePoint, O365 and Exchange online
• Experience with HTML5, JavaScript, .NET
• Knowledge with privileged account security and CyberArk
• Exposed to Application Performance Monitoring suites and modern APM mechanism
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
