?GROUP/PROJECT INFO:

They support the client facing staff with their client data, client analytic and regulatory risk reporting. As an Analyst in Cross Business Structuring, you will ensure the accuracy of client information by leveraging public and private information, in addition to 3rd party data sources across client’s Capital Markets’ product groups. Associates play a critical role in managing junior professionals, with responsibilities such as: performing client research; reviewing trading activity; interacting with clients in regards to regulatory compliance matters; and performing other tasks supporting client data and analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
Key Accountabilities:

A. Front Office Support
• Validate client information through rigorous sourcing and analysis of information from internal and external data sources, including 3rd party and regulatory websites and databases
• Use of critical thought to analyze client information for reasonability
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the group to increase accuracy and productivity
• Assist in building an ongoing client information maintenance practice
• Support client facing professionals by providing a variety of administrative and analytical tasks as assigned and with minimal supervision, such as regulatory compliance, client revenue reporting, maintenance of contacts database, and the tracking and update of periodic trading or sales metrics
• Assist senior staff in the research and resolution of administrative/operational issues
• Maintain a proactive, client service focus in order to meet the needs of client facing staff
• Respond to inquiries relating to client reporting, regulatory, and data quality

B. Project Work

Enterprise wide client data project where they will be working with all the trading floor clients.
• Assist senior staff on managing major project deliverables
• Participate in key working groups
• Create and maintain internal team documentation related to project work streams

Authorities:

• Advisory: Under guidance, this role provides suggestions and information based on assigned tasks
• Information Access: Authority to use and access confidential information related to client, product and financial information
• Veto: Authority to stop something from happening because of significant compliance and risk exposure

TOP SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of industry related experience within Capital Markets
• They must have broad knowledge/understanding of capital market’s products
• General knowledge of financial strategy / accounting / capital markets principles and analysis
• General knowledge of business information products (e.g. Factiva, Bloomberg, Cap IQ)
• General understanding of Knowledge Management and Principles- (This is where people need to understand how to deal with large data sets)
• Intermediate Excel: pivot table, V-LOOKUP
• Excellent research and analytical skills.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• If they have a MBA, CFA,CA

SOFT SKILLS:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to attentively review, assess and provide detailed information daily on multiple projects in an
organized manner
• Strong interpersonal skills used within a demanding team environment.
• Ability to be creative, insightful and resourceful in performance of duties
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a face-paced environment;
• Detail and results orientated
• High level of integrity and strong work ethic

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

• An undergraduate degree with outstanding academic achievement;
• Specific academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting with outstanding academic achievement
• Masters’ Degree, MBA / CFA / CA beneficial but not required.
