MaxSys is currently looking for a Chemist, Junior for our Federal Client.
 
Qualifications:
 
Education:
 
• Secondary school diploma is required
• Must have, at minimum, an undergraduate degree from a recognized university with specialization in chemistry, biochemistry or toxicology.
• The Bidder must provide copy of degree certificate.
• The Bidder must also provide a copy of Secondary School diploma
 
Experience:
 
• Must have a minimum of six (6) months of experience in hazardous material management (e.g. Managing inventory of chemicals, safety data sheet, provide advice to clients, safe handling and storage etc.)
• Must Have A Minimum Of Six (6) Months Of Experience In Writing Guidance Documents And Reports.
 
Duties:
 
Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
• Review Safety Data Sheet (SDS) of a chemical product and identify chemical ingredient(s) that are regulated or targeted under various regulations or pollution prevention programs;
• Search for less hazardous chemical products which meets performance requirement by reviewing SDS and Technical Data Sheet (TDS) of alternative products or by conducting internet research or by contacting suppliers and manufacturers directly;
• Review draft regulations and assist to identify critical products;
• Assist to conduct compliance audits at field Units;
• Prepare hazardous material profiles for chemical products used for maintenance activities of vehicles/equipment;
• Categorize chemical products based on guidelines provided and update the database;
• Prepare summaries and reports.
