MaxSys is currently looking for a Communication Intermediate for our Federal Client.
Minimum Mandatory Qualifications:
Must clearly demonstrate minimum of 3 year of experience within the last 4 years in the following:
Organize, create and, validate web content; engage with clients to determine their communications and web content requirements.
Must clearly demonstrate minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 2 years in the following:
Publish web content using a content management system such as; TeamSite, Adobe Experience Manager or other similar website content management systems.
Must clearly demonstrate minimum of 6 months of experience within the last 1 year in the following:
Analyse, write, edit and, synthesize web content and, its associated metadata tagging using the Canada.ca style guide and, current web best practices.
Experience in providing web content creation and maintenance recommendations based on Government of Canada policies and Treasury Board Standards, including, but not limited to: Standard on Web Usability, Standard on Web Interoperability, Standard on Web Accessibility, Standard on Metadata, Standard on Privacy and Web Analytics and, the Directive on Official Languages for Communications and Services. Must demonstrate 3 of the elements listed above.
Review existing web content (Internet/Intranet) and, make recommendations based on web writing best practices, search engine optimization, metadata standards, information organization (content mapping), cataloguing rules, imagery requirements and, template adherence, based on the use of web content management systems.
NOTE: Must not exceed 4-5 minimum mandatory criteria. Criteria must not be so restrictive as to only include CAF/DND personnel.
DUTIES OF THE RESOURCE:
Conduct content assessments and build content and asset inventories of sites for content planning.
Review and edit existing web page content and metadata tag information.
Accurately add or edit descriptive keywords, captions, titles and categories for content objects, web pages, images, videos and other web assets.
Write new, user-friendly content for Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces (DND/CAF) internet/intranet sites.
Analyze existing web pages and synthesize and re-write content for migration to the new DND/CAF intranet or Canada.ca
Meet with web content owners to discuss and provide advice and expertise on how to best modify their content for the intranet and internet.
Report and track progress on the re-writing of web content.
Collaborate with teams and coordinate communication products.
Apply Government of Canada communications policies and Treasury Board Standards to the production and publishing of web content.
Ensure quality assurance (QA) of web content.
Publish web content to Intranet site using the WIM content management system or to Canada.ca using Adobe Experience Manager.
Basic understanding of web user experience and interface (UX/UI) principles and best practices.
