MaxSys is currently looking for a Communications, Senior for our Federal Client.
• Secondary school diploma is required
• Must clearly demonstrate 5 years’ experience within the past 8 years in developing communications strategies, plans and a variety of communications products such as speaking notes/speeches, briefing documents, social media, backgrounders, web content, news releases, media advisories, feature articles, brochures, presentations, etc.;
• Must clearly demonstrate 5 years’ experience within the past 8 years in planning, coordinating and executing communications projects and/or events;
• Must clearly demonstrate 5 years’ experience within the past 8 years’ in managing several communications projects simultaneously within tight timelines;
• Must clearly demonstrate 5 years’ experience within the past 8 years in providing public affairs advice and guidance to senior leadership.
• Must clearly demonstrate 3 years’ experience within the past 5 years in Communications with the Federal Government
Working under direction of the DAPA Community Relations and Outreach Manager:
• Plan, coordinate and execute communication campaigns, projects or events.
• Write and edit communication material such as (but not limited to) news release, articles, statements, letters, speeches, communication plans, etc. 
• Provide communication advice, researching and analysing information. 
• Provide advice and guidance on current and emerging issues to senior Public Affairs and senior Canadian Army leadership.
• Support commemorations public affairs file for Directorate Army Public Affairs
• Develop or select appropriate communications themes and messages and the right distribution means that meet the needs of specific target audiences and stakeholders.
• Research and analyse media coverage.
• Develop strategic communications plans, including situational analysis, critical communications issues, challenges and opportunities.
• Research and analyse information to determine which events to support, identify potential communications issues, challenges and opportunities. 
• Work closely with graphic designer to develop design products to support public affairs.
• Coordinate speaking and mascot requests in support of community relations.
• Attend meetings, provide updates as necessary to the team manager, liaise with national-level and regional partners to plan public affairs support to events and projects.
