MaxSys is currently looking for a Computer Application Support, Advanced for our Federal Client.
• Secondary school diploma is required
• Certificate, diploma, or degree in computer science or other relevant field from a recognized post-secondary institution is required; 
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within the last 5 years designing and implementing business planning software solutions for the federal government as well as a minimum of 3 years’ experience within the last 5 years providing technical recommendations and IT support; 
• Minimum 4 years’ experience developing MS Access databases for networked multi-user applications programming in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), 2 of the years in MS Access 2010 as well as minimum of 4 years writing technical documentation such as user manuals in MS Word within the last 6 years.  Extensive knowledge of XML markup language and Document Object Model (DOM) using MSXML2.DOMDocument60. Demonstrated knowledge to manipulate and handle nodes, properties and attributes in Ribbon user interface. Knowledge to script XML using Microsoft Expressions Web 4;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience RDBMS – Relational Database and database modeling; Tables, indexes, relationships. Extensive knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) as well as knowledge of DAO (jet engine) and ADODB (activeX data Objects) database interfaces as well as developing MS Excel Workbooks for financial and human resources applications programming in VBA within the last 10 years;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Fluent user interface to create intuitive and dynamic RibbonUI application interfaces. Experience creating global Ribbon interface and Custom Ribbon for reports and forms.
• Assisted by the Level 1 Vice Chief of Defence Group (VCDS Gp) Business Planners, review the Fiscal Year 2019-2022 Level 0 Business Planning Guidance and directions and define the requirements for the Level 1 VCDS Gp IT business planning approaches and IT tools;
• Review the latest IT options available to the business planning objectives and suggest the optimal enhancements required in order to meet the L1 Business Planning Tool requirements defined.
• Enhance and maintain the existing Level 1 VCDS Gp multi-user MS Access database Business Plan Tool and associated MS Excel/VBA tools;
• Conduct end-to-end testing of the developed and improved in-house Business Plan IT Tool.
• Document the architecture (internal design & structure) of the MS Access database Business Planning Tool.
• Document all processes associated with the L1 VCDS Gp MS Access database Business Planning Tool.
• Analyze requirements for interactive Adobe Acrobat form and make suggestions for their implementation to Level 1 Vice Chief of Defence Group (VCDS Gp) Business Planners Team.
• Create user-friendly forms in Adobe Acrobat, implement and test them thoroughly in order to facilitate data entry for the end user.
• Analyze requirements for canned reports and make suggestions for their implementation to Level 1 Vice Chief of Defence Group (VCDS Gp) Business Planners Team.
• Support users and develop all new reports required for ever evolving reporting requirements to upper management.
• Prepare user manuals and other planning and technical documentation as required
• Prepare SharePoint repositories and procedures and the documentation to communicate to the community of 18+ Level 2 business planners.
• Conduct one on one and small group informal training on how to populate the MS Access database Business Plan Tool.
• Provide Data Management support to the L1 and L2 VCDS GP Business Plan users as well as assist with problem resolution.
