MaxSys is currently looking for a Computer Application Support, Advanced for our Federal Client.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Secondary school diploma is required
• Must have a MS Access (2003 or later) Developer Certification (must provide proof of certification with proposal).
• Must hold a Diploma or a Degree in an IT-related Field (must provide proof of education with the proposal).
Experience:
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience on Government of Canada projects working as a Senior MS Access/VBA Developer.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience performing end-to-end development and deployment of MS Access Database Applications, including relational database modelling, VBA coding, SQL query development, report writing and front-end development, splitting database.
Duties:
• Gain an understanding of the business requirement, policies and guidelines relating to the work
• Working with Sr. Technical Resource to further develop fields and relational tables, create relevant queries and forms with sub-forms and construct a select number of appropriate reports. All data types must be appropriately defined
• Develop/re-develop MS Access database applications to optimize performance
• Develop MS Access database functionalities including weighting the various performance criteria to enable balanced reporting requirements and documenting approvals and collaboration processes through users and groups
• Documenting technical information, either in the form of a user guide or through reference within the database so that management can continue to operate and maintain the tool
