MaxSys is currently looking for a Computer Application Support, Intermediate for our Federal Client.
• Secondary school diploma is required
• Two (2) years’ experience within the last five (5) years in creating, updating and modifying service requests using Remedy Action Request System;
• Two (2) years’ experience within the last five (5) years in troubleshooting applications to identify root cause of an issue;
• Two (2) years’ experience within the last five (5) years testing Commercial Off-The-Shelf Software (COTS) or custom-built software applications in a .NET environment;
• Two (2) years’ experience within the last five (5) years writing test strategies, test scripts and test cases, using Business Needs, User Requirements and Use cases;
• Two (2) years’ experience within the last five (5) years working within a Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology related to application development;
The Application Support Analyst will plan, perform, create and execute effective test scripts, cases and scenarios for in-house software application development, off the shelf software applications launches, and operations systems enhancements.
Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
• Create and execute test scripts, cases, and scenarios that will determine optimal system performance according to specifications;
a) Conduct a variety of application testing as needed, such as
b) System testing
c) Unit testing
d) Regression testing
e) Load testing
f) Acceptance testing
• Analyze formal test results in order to discover and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws;
• Create and input test data;
• Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any enhancements under development or consideration to determine its intended functionality;
• Produce reports and documentation for all testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging, and tracking;
• Liaise with business analysts and developers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing;
• Perform analysis on various Customized Off the Shelf (COTS) or Open Source Testing tools as required, and possibly lead or be a part of the team to implement such software;
• Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to the Technical Authority;
• Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-testing best practices;
• Perform walkthroughs and reviews related to testing and implementation readiness to end users
