Our Client in the Banking and Finance Industry is seeking a Intermediate Marketing Consultant for their Downtown Toronto office. This is a 6 months contract to start, possible extension OR Permanency

Under the direction of the Senior Marketing Manager Brand Engagement, North American Sponsorships, support the development and coordinate the best in class sponsorship activations that delivers on Bank’s brand promise and identity. Create targeted activation plans that support the partnerships strategic activation goals across a specific portfolio. Execute the sponsorship strategy and develop integrated sponsorship activation and working cross-functionally to execute upon brand and business objectives with each properties, Bank’s LoB’s and executives.
 In collaboration with the Sponsorship advertising team, ensure that Bank’s brand strategy, tone and manner of the creative platform and graphic standards are adhered to in all marketing communication material and sponsorships activation. Work as a team member within Corporate Marketing to ensure that initiatives are fully understood, effective and delivered strategically.

• This individual will need to be able to manage pressure and manage more than one project at one time
• This is a project management oriented role

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
• Develop and manage the execution of sponsorships activation as part of the overall Corporate Sponsorships strategy
• Plan, develop and execute special events such as the MSO private concert for Quebec Executives
• Prime interface for all external suppliers related to our sponsorship portfolio (suppliers of promotional items and events)
• Manage budgets, sponsorships contracts and quotes
• Work in close collaboration with the Brand & sponsorship advertising team to develop an integrated approach for our sponsorship activations.

AUTHORITIES – This job has the authority to:
• Recommending spending for branches, various internal clients and/or Executives
• Management of supplier relationship for individual initiatives, including selection
• Analyze and recommend sponsorships for the Corporate Sponsorship team & Quebec Executives
• Decision making role in the management of events, logistic and production
• Manage and advise partners with regards to budgets
• Management of agency relationship for sponsorship activations

This role interacts with Corporate Marketing, Corporate Sponsorships, Corporate Communications, senior executives, Québec division, LOB’s and external partners (agency, property and supplier); to ensure service requirements are met ; branches providing direction, service and support on brand and marketing issues. Ensure that high customer service standards are maintained; provide production support or advice, where necessary, to the person requesting it.

• Bilingual is essential – Spoken and written (French and English).
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Interest in marketing, sponsorship and event management.
• Understanding of sponsorship activation and marketing campaigns.
• Experience in managing projects at all steps of the marketing communication & activation process.
• Marketing skills including event management, marketing communications, sponsorship activation execution.

• Experience in sports & financial services environment, a strong asset.
• Knowledge of SharePoint an asset.

• Ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace – professional communication service standard.
• Strong organizational skills and capable of juggling multiples tasks in a changing environment.
