Industrial Staffing - Halifax

We currently have an opportunity available for a client in the Halifax area, for an Inventory Control Analyst with 3 – 5 years of experience. This is a term position of 9 months (40 hours per week), starting immediately.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this term position will add value by applying well developed inventory control experience and strong analytic skills to the business by supporting the Supply Chain team, Materials Planning & Control Manager.
 
JOB TITLE: Inventory Control Analyst
 
PAY RATE: $17.54 per/hr
 
LOCATION: Halifax
 
Key responsibilities:
• Ensures accurate and efficient processing of daily inventory transaction files received from 3PL’s
• Imports Inventory 3PL transaction files daily into Syspro.
• Performs inventory adjustment review.
• Provides oversight and monitoring of inventory reconciliation programs
• Performs analysis to assist in problem solving and business analysis.
• Reconciliation of daily transactions and 3PL supplier invoices.

This person is a quick learner, eager to continuously develop skills and knowledge relating to the activities required and overall business operations and industry as a whole.
 
Qualifications
• Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Business, Inventory management and control.
• Proven ability to manage, implement and support multiple projects/programs under tight timelines
• Ability to work with large amounts of numerical data such as serial numbers, part numbers and model types, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective in anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary in an ever-changing environment.
• Creative in developing solutions to business problems, and willing to consider non-traditional lines of thinking.
• Highly capable with various computer operations, ideally with previous experience using inventory management systems.
• Skilled in analyzing and generating reports, with advanced skills in MS Excel.
• Flexible, adaptable and willingness to change.
• Strong customer interfacing and service skills with internal customers.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and follow up skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively throughout multiple levels of the organization.
