About Group:
– The Canadian Branch Network Services team provides strategic, long-term planning assistance to the Canadian Regions and Executive Management in developing an efficient and effective branch delivery network across the country
– Candidate will serve as a direct resource assigned to execute upon specific deliverables towards the installation and configuration of Capital equipment
– Joining deployment team for carrier migration project changing facilities within branches
– Additional resource is needed to support the multiple NGN2 data migrations happening each night which are required to meet project deliverables
Typical Day in the Role:
– Responsible for project execution and deployment
– Design and document network requirements
– Working with vendors and service providers to accomplish tasks and projects and resolve network problems
Must-Have Skills:
– Expert knowledge with advanced Cisco Routing and Switching
– Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting network technologies
– Knowledge of current networking monitoring tools
– VoIP knowledge Cisco ISR
– Documentation through Sharepoint and Visio diagrams – experience writing technical documents and reporting
– Project coordination and delivery experience; solid understanding of business process and ability to bridge technical implications
– A strong level of communication and client-facing skills will be required
– Overall 5 – 7 years experience with all tools
The main function of a Network Analyst is to determine user requirements and design specifications for computer networks. A typical network engineer is responsible for planning and implementing network upgrades.
Job Responsibilities:
• Adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands
• Communicate with customers, sales staff, or marketing staff to determine customer needs
• Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades
• Design, build, or operate equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, servers, or server operation systems
• Determine specific network hardware or software requirements such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas
• Develop and implement solutions for network problems
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• 5-7 years experience required
• Network/systems administration/related work experience required
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification a plus
• Knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to data storage
• Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software
