MaxSys is currently looking for a Program Administrator Advanced for our Federal Client.
a. A bachelor degree in engineering or space science; and
b. A minimum of twenty four (24) months experience in the field of space operations and earth remote sensing using Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR).
Must possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent qualification, or demonstrate equivalent experience.
Must demonstrate a minimum of sixty (60) months combined experience in project management, project director or deputy project director on projects greater than $25M and lasting longer than five years.
Must demonstrate experience producing or maintaining project documentation for a project greater than $25M.
Must clearly demonstrate an understanding of space operations, activities, roles and tasks as they relate to Canadian defence and security.
DUTIES OF THE RESOURCE:
1. The duties of the contractor will be as follows:
Task 1 Preparation of Project Documentation
a. Work with DG Space personnel to develop and deliver the following project documentation required to advance the Defence Enhanced Surveillance from Space Project (DESS-P):
i. Business Case Analysis (BCA);
ii. Strategic Context Document (SCD); and
iii. Space Based Surveillance Requirements Document (SBS-RD).
Task 2 Carry out Project Work
a. Carry out project work in accordance with the Defence Procurement Strategy, Project Approval Directive, and the Capability Investment Database;
b. Review requirement specifications with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure that the requirements are comprehensive, clear, well structured, traceable, verifiable and feasible;
c. Coordinate research and development studies to support future space-based capabilities; and
d. Provide briefing notes, issue analysis and expert advice to the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Section Head on issues and activities related to the DESS-P.
Task 3 Provide Project Administrative Support
a. Assist in the maintenance of project documentation and records;
b. Research and locate background information, analyze and extract relevant information and write summaries;
c. Maintain and update relevant project information in manual and/or electronic files; and
d. Assist other sections, associated with the DESS-P, as determined by the ISR Section Head.
