Our Client in the Banking and Finance Industry is seeking a Project Coordinator for their Downtown Toronto office. This is a 6 months contract to start, possible extension OR Permanency
Responsible for supporting the effective management of non-IT projects by acting as a project manager / coordinator Managing AML related projects to completion. Each Issue Management Lead will act principally in the areas of project planning, project monitoring and integrated project management.

This is a very ambitious group within the bank. They are very independent. They have a close-knit team.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
• Executes on effective management of projects, principally in the areas of project planning, project monitoring, and integrated project management – independently and as part of a Team.
• Manages assigned aspects of the project life cycle and works with relevant project stakeholders as required. Assists in the planning, preparation, and maintenance of project team schedules, documents Management Action Plan updates, maintains project issues logs and databases.
• Escalates early warning signs and deviations from the plan to the VP.
• Manages Issues from start to finish: Issue Identification templates, Management Action Plans (project plans), monitoring progress, escalations, evidence collection for Issue closure etc. while complying with applicable enterprise standards (e.g. Risk, Audit, Compliance).
• Supports the VP by monitoring and controlling project activities including: risk, issues, status, communication, planning and execution.
• Proposes recommendations and adjustments and publishes periodic project status reports.
• Maintains project documentation repositories.
• Performs various project administration tasks, including coordinating meetings, taking meeting minutes, forwarding communication releases, and performing maintenance of project tracking logs (i.e., issues, change control, etc.)

• 2-4+ years’ worth of experience within project management.
• They must be able to undertake a project from start to finish.
• Critical Thinking / assessment
• SharePoint experience
• Intermediate Excel: Pivot table, v-lookup, (Macros is nice)
• Access experience: Reports are all created through access. (if they have experience creating/pulling data and creating reports from access is very nice to have)
• Great Communication skills
• They must be able to manage stakeholders is required.
• They must have exposure to capital markets. They must have a vast exposure to multiple products etc.

• Banking/FI is highly preferable
• Knowledge of AML is preferred
• Understand of Audit trail and audit evidence.- if the candidate has prior experience in audit, where they can help the bank by limiting the risk to the bank.

Relationship management skills and experience
