Our Client in the Telco industry is seeking a Project Manager (Telco) for their Montreal Office, for a 12 month contract, Extension Possible.
 
Description
The “Strategic Programs and Measures team is part of the IT Program Management Office (PMO) and is accountable to perform continuous monitoring, analysis and communication of the Department’s project portfolio across several distinct programs.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
•  Overall end-to-end ownership of multiple programs from inception to completion
•  Accountable to identify and raise program issues (risks, constraints, dependencies) and drive the resolution to ensure successful and timely delivery of all goals and objectives
•  Regularly interfaces with all appropriate stakeholders to ensure clarity of scope, targets and current status
• Builds and maintains strong working relationships with all stakeholders
• Ability to work in a matrix organization

•  Ability to efficiently work in virtual teams, handling multiple programs
•  High tolerance to ambiguity and ability to adapt in a fast-evolving environment
•  experience managing and delivering programs in an IT environment
•  Business administration, information technology or related disciplines
•  Assist in the development and updating of key project management enablers (e.g., project portfolio, communication plan, organization charts, issue, risk and decision logs, change request log)
•  Identify, analyzes, responds to and monitors project risks; determines prioritization of Program risks; maximizes the probability and impact of positive events and minimizes the probability and impact of adverse events
•  Maintain a comprehensive Issue, Risk, and Decision documentation, as they relate to project timelines and co-dependencies, and coordinate solutions development. Maintain documentation of changes to scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and identify dependency implications.
•  Assist with reviewing all necessary work plans and related project management documentation are completed in sufficient detail to provide for adequate management and control, as well as consist with overall master schedule and dependencies
•  Develop communications documents detailing implementation progress for Senior Leadership, Boards, and Regulators, including regular reporting.
 
Preferred skills / competencies:
•  IT systems development environment
•  Application lifecycle management and server currency – evolution of operating systems, databases and security protocols
•  Best practice program management and IT project delivery life cycle
