Maxsys is seeking an experienced Finance professional seeking career growth and progression. Our client is an exciting FinTech company in Toronto’s Financial District seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join their Finance & Accounting team.
 
This role focuses on these key areas: strategy development, planning, data collection and analysis.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate is someone who will take a hands-on approach when necessary, self-motivated, team player and a forward-thinker.
 Bachelors Degree in Accounting or MBA focused on Business Management or related disciplineCanadian CPA Designation is Required (for example: CPA, CGA or CPA, CMA or CPA, CA).
*CPA students will not be considered for this opportunity*A minimum of 7 years in FP&A and/or Strategy DevelopmentAt least 3 years of experience in a Managerial position with direct reportsAdvanced Excel skills is Required (Pivot Tables, Macros)Experience using databases or query tools is a strong assetExperience developing and managing financial models is required!Experience or knowledge of Fintech industry/Financial Services is a strong asset
RESPONSIBILITIES:Profit & loss analysis of all business units, providing recommendations on how to improve/drive financial performanceDevelop an in-depth understanding of the business and all products offeredDevelop and maintain financial modelsGather information from different sources to develop and/or enhance financial modelsDevelop business strategy and contribute to key decisionsBudgeting and forecastingSupport Accounting & Finance team in identifying areas of risk, optimizing reporting processes and creating efficiencyWork closely with the CFO and other Executive Members Work closely with other internal teams on product launches, analyzing product performance etc.
