Our client in Banking and Finance Industry is seeking Senior Project Manager (Information Security) for Toronto location. This is a 12 months contract position.
 
Role Mandate:
This resource will be working in the IS group on the Wire Payments Security program. This program is meant to assess the security structure against controls currently in place and complete comprehensive analysis of their efficacy and compliance. If weaknesses are identified this PM will be tasked with implementing solutions to bring the structure closer to meeting the compliance standards.
 
This PM is meant to be a true business PM- as such, they may be paired with a technology PM if advanced technical expertise is required, however these elements do not exist in the scope of this opening. This resource will work with the following cross-functional groups frequently:
• Information Security Officers
• Wire Payments team- they will partner with this team to craft the bulk of his/her deliverables

Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Submitting project deliverables to ensure they adhere to quality standards
• Ensure project scope, schedule and budget are clearly defined
• Facilitating change requests to ensure all parties are informed on their impact to budget and schedule outcomes
• Craft comprehensive solutions to ensure security controls comply with standards
• Maintain day to day relationships and communications with stakeholders at multiple levels organization-wide
• Interpret excel reports of relevant data
• Adhere to standard delivery rules
• Present project progress to Steering Committee on a monthly basis and address any roadblocks with creative solutions
• Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information
• Creation of essential project deliverables including:
• Project plans
• Project artifacts
• Charters
• Integrated plans
• Resource plans
• Contingency plans
• Comprehensive budgets
 
Must-Have Skills/Soft Skills:
• 8-10 years of PM experience, ideally in a large FI environment
• 2+ years of experience working on Information Security and/or Wire Payments projects
• Expert MS Office skills (specifically Project, PowerPoint, Access)
• Intermediate Excel skills (ability to pull, filter and interpret reports is required
• Strong business acumen
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to interface with stakeholders with professional polish
• Strong documentation skills
o Note that this PM will be responsible for creating the majority of their documentation on their own and will not have a dedicated PCO to aid in the completion of the administrative aspects of the project
 
Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree required, no discipline confirmed
• PMP
• CISSP is a very nice to have
• Other information security certifications are nice to have
Interview Process:
• One round, in person, with HM and 1 other manager
• Content of interview will be focused on their resumes and experience- no work samples required for screening/interviews
