Our Client in the Pension Industry is seeking a SharePoint Program Lead for their Downtown Toronto office. This is a 6 months contract to start, possible extension OR Permanency
Scope of Position
The SharePoint Program Lead, reporting to the Vice President – Office of IT, will be responsible for developing the strategy for the company’s SharePoint program and subsequently overseeing, governing and supporting the program and rollout of solutions to the various business groups.  The ideal candidate is a thought leader who has been deeply involved in SharePoint solution delivery to numerous organizations/industries for a minimum of 10 years.

Key accountabilities
• Development of enterprise SharePoint strategy for the organization, including defining SharePoint standards, governance, and processes for all SharePoint sites.
• Chart the strategic and tactical paths to further grow and sustain SharePoint program and practices
• Development of SharePoint governance documents and frameworks for site development, user interface and user interaction and ensuring adherence to defined standards and guidelines.
• Work closely with business and technical teams to interpret and translate requirements into a technology solution that can be configured from a standard set of offerings.
• Manage a team of SharePoint Architects and Developers
• Lead and guide a SharePoint development team (5 direct reports) towards successful project delivery
• Coaches team members to ensure alignment with project methodology and internal standards, including quality, performance, scalability, and security
• Capacity and resource planning of SharePoint resources and prioritization of work
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal IT teams and business sponsors.
• Work closely with EIM and process excellence team to ensure alignment for solution delivery
• Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations
• Provide direction and technical leadership through coaching and mentorship in all phases of the SDLC

• 10+ years of experience with delivering SharePoint solutions
• 5+ years SharePoint Online design & development using CSOM, JSOM, and REST API.
• Experience with Workflow and SharePoint App development using Visual Studio.
• Knowledge of architectural design, configuration and troubleshooting SharePoint Implementations.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies
• Experience with Deploying and Automating SharePoint solutions
• Experience in web application architecture, design & build
• Experience in data management or data governance an asset
• Experience with file migrations, experience with ShareGate, Metalogix a plus
• Experience with Release Management and Code Deployment tools such as Microsoft TFS a plus
• Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent work
• Post graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business and/or PMP certification considered an asset
