MaxSys is currently looking for a Special Advisor, Advanced for our Federal Client.
Secondary school diploma is required
The candidate must clearly demonstrate at least three (3) years of experience within the past ten (10) years engaging, developing, creating, analyzing, executing, managing, reporting on and communicating lessons learned to senior management in a department or agency of the government of Canada.
The candidate must clearly demonstrate a minimum of four (4) years experience within the past ten (10) years in knowledge management including creation, capture, preservation, organization, assessment, retrieval, dissemination, use, reuse, disposal, as well as governance and lessons learned; in the public sector, the Department of National Defence and/or the Canadian Armed Forces.
The candidate must clearly demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years experience within the past fifteen (15) years practicing project management principles and delivering Defence related complex multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholder projects, within the Government of Canada and/or the Department of National Defence.
The candidate must demonstrate a minimum of ten (10) years of knowledge of departments or agencies of the government of Canada within the past fifteen (15) years. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge in delivering security and defence products and services; change management, conducting major investigations, conducting strategic planning and delivering strategic advice, contributing to policy development, organizational re-engineering/re-structuring, and developing and producing lessons learned. The Candidate must demonstrate international exposure related to lessons learned.
The candidate must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years experience within the last ten (10) years, developing, leading, chairing, facilitating, and delivering leadership training and development events and/or workshops/symposia for large organizations (200 persons and larger) including but not limited to the Department of National Defence or the Canadian Forces. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to moderate working group sessions, produce briefing notes, presentations, reports, strategic guidance documents and analysis to senior management on strategic and operational issues.
The Quality Engineering Test Establishment (QETE) has a requirement for a special Advisor, at the Advanced Level, to assume an overall responsibility as a tasks initiator, coordinator, and implementor, at QETE, of lessons learned within Assistant Deputy Minister Materiel)s (ADM (Mat)) knowledge management program. The function reports to the Task lead, and includes:
Engaging the Lessons learned community and establish a formal mechanism to develop a lessons learned process for the Assistant Deputy Minister (Materiel) Group.
Assisting and providing advice and guidance, while serving as the point of contact for all issues related to establishing and demonstrating a lessons learned process within the Assistant Deputy Minister (Materiel) Group;
Developing, creating, executing, managing and implementing Lessons learned program for Assistant Deputy Minister (Materiel) Group;
Monitoring, evaluating and providing support in the coordination and implementation of Assistant Deputy Minister (Materiel) Groups Lessons learned program (including supporting the Lessons Learned Working Group);
Developing an effective communication arrangement with the lessons learned community of practice within Assistant Deputy Minister (Materiel) Group;
Appling Knowledge Management and Project Management principles in the development and delivery of processes and tools associated with the lesson learned program for Assistant Deputy Minister (Materiel) Group; and
Producing and/or facilitating the production of key documentation and briefing material for the development and implementation of ADM(Mat) group lessons learned program
To achieve the objective of the project, the individual must be capable of creating and maintaining a productive relationship with stakeholders, coordinating and facilitating stakeholders interactions, monitoring, reviewing and developing Lessons learned products. The individual is expected to*:
