MaxSys is currently looking for a Special Advisor, Senior for our Federal Client.
• Secondary school diploma is required
• Certificate, diploma, or degree in the related discipline from a post-secondary Canadian institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience is required
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required
The contractor will be required to perform the following tasks:
• Provide cyber security expertise to facilitate the development of guidelines to support stakeholders in ensuring cyber security practices are incorporated into the design and deployment of automated and connected vehicles (AV/CVs).
• Perform an environmental scan of national and international automotive cyber security guidelines, standards and technical documents to identify core principles  and accepted international best practices;
• Undertake a gap analysis to identify opportunities in which Canada could advance the general body of cyber security guidance, as well as identify areas for future work and/or investment;
• Consider unique cyber security considerations for different vehicle types, including but not limited to: light, medium, heavy duty vehicles; commercial vehicles, emergency response vehicles;
• Develop a comprehensive list of core automotive cyber security guidelines for automated and connected vehicles, in consultation with the Project Authority and key stakeholders;
o Guidance should consider advice on original equipment manufacturing, replacement equipment, and software updates;
o Guidance should cover the vehicle lifecycle, from concept and design to decommissioning of vehicles.
• Represent the team in Departmental discussions and meetings to obtain agreement on AV/CV cyber security principles or requirements. 
• Lead and or participate in consultation sessions with stakeholders to present results and gather feedback. 
• Address and incorporate comments/input on the outline, interim guidelines, final guidelines and other documentation from the Project Authority and other stakeholders;  
• Assist with other ad-hoc initiatives towards strengthening cyber security of AV/CVs (e.g. research, meetings, grants and contributions, etc.)
4. Consultant Responsibilities/Deliverables
The Contractor must provide the following deliverables:
• A report every two weeks on the status of the development of guidelines to the Project Authority.
• Development of Canadian AV/CV cyber security guidance by June 2019.
